Family Guy Evolution

It was a touchy subject for me, and others I'm sure, simply because of the idea that life is meaningless without god. It sounds to me like it's a psychological issue and nothing to do with reality. Suck it up and deal with the hand the universe dealt you I say. It doesn't care or revolve around us or our tiny planet. Ive seen enough theist arguments far too many times and they base their beliefs around some bronze age text written by camel dung smokin' nomads. Einstein certainly was not theist and certainly did not get any of his ideas from priests or the bible.

Evolution successfully describes the diversity of life, and has survived 150 years of the smartest men on the planet trying to debunk it and is one of the most tested theories on the planet. In return, all most Christians can do is say 'I don't believe it'. An empty argument, not backed up by any evidence, and usually founded on prejudice.

I think Creationists have lost the plot because of their perspective about the Earth's age. Time is an irrelevance and is actually a human construct. We count time by the amount of times we notice ourselves move around the sun, therefore when we start saying things are millions of years old they start to sound like unbelievably large numbers beyond our comprehension. Just imagine how long it took for dinosaurs to evolve then die out before another age of life took its place. You think it takes a while to microwave pizza!

To say life doesn't evolve is like saying cows are not mammals.

So in other words your fore fathers were monkeys? or perhaps some plankton swiming around somewhere?
Just to remind you, i am a son of God who likes visiting your webpage.
Evelotion theory is fine but what bothers me is why there isn't a single animal or human being on this earth or in the history of mankind as we know it, who was found in the crossing over stage... for instance i am told by experts that our baby toes are getting smaller because of the the tight shoes we wear... which eventually will disappear because we will find no use for it. i am also told that this is adaption and it is vastly different from evolution.
now again i ask you, are there any monkeys in the crossing stage to human beings or have they looked this way for as long as we have a written/spoken history?
Finally, why are scientists so frantically looking for the missing link? not a bone or anything can be found... would it be okay of me to quote the bible? there was one beast in the bible that was upright, he was the most intelligent of the beasts in the field and more handsome than adam. he was also cursed at some point and all the bones in his body broken and he was told to slither on his belly for the rest of time. here is one of many answer that you people avoid and rather pay billions to go and see on mars if our missing link never evolved to another planet. a pointless waste of energy while millions of other people are dying of hunger.. tsk tsk tsk

Yes, I think that's an over-simplification but yeah pretty much what I'm thinking. Even if my actual father was a monkey it wouldn't change the fact that I myself am a pink hairless thinking mammal. I wouldn't take my dad out much though... I hate cleaning up after monkeys.

I appreciate your patronage - I hope you get more laughs than offences. You understand I can't hold back because Christians visit here.

- now again i ask you, are there any monkeys in the crossing stage to human beings or have they looked this way for as long as we have a written/spoken history?

I suppose if creatures crawled out of the water 10 billions of years ago then it stands to reason that they were crawling out 5 billion years ago, or 5 million years ago... and the evolution takes place over eons. We're not going to notice even in the several thousand odd years we've been recording history here.

- Finally, why are scientists so frantically looking for the missing link?

I dunno, I'm certainly no expert and but perhaps we've been in this state for a verrry long time. I've noticed that the longer I look at a torrent download on my pc the slower it seems. When I imagine the huge spanse of time passed before us I imagine it is longer than I can get my head around.

- not a bone or anything can be found...

I'd be surprised if the frail skeleton of a humanoid that long ago could stay intact or be close enough to the surface. That's a naive look, and I'd imagine that dinosaur bones stand the test of time due to their size.

- would it be okay of me to quote the bible?

just a little. I don't give it any authority, so I don't find it a credible source of data. I find it a bit of a cop out to explain everything we don't know about history with a simple, "God did it".

- here is one of many answer that you people avoid and rather pay billions to go and see on mars if there's life

"My people?" are there only christians and non-christians? I don't have billions - in my account. I take offence slightly for being grouped with those huge money wasters.

Your tsk tsking 'my people' for spending money on space travel? There are alll sorts of people on this crazy planet.

I see your point about Mars, but we can see that this planet like all the other ones in our solar system just don't have the right conditions to sustain life... too hot, too cold, too gassy, too unprotected by larger planets.

In the grand scheme of this planet is a speck of dust in a huge universe of matter and space. Every now and then the conditions are right in the life of a planet for life to form.

This particular ball of matter is just the right distance from the sun, and is protected from meteors by the larger planets in the outer regions of its system.

It's possible the conditions are right on some other planets in the huge expanse of space and matter in this big univers.

Whenever these conditions are right in the countless billions of years this universe has been expanding and retracting life has a short amout of time to form and evolve, in response to stimuli around it. These lifeforms evolve to a level of self existence where they are intelligent enough to question their own state of being. They get so smart that they begin to label the random coincidences as part of a plan by a god that i simply dont think exists.

Hey oddball,

What bothers me about creationism is not that it opposes evolution but that the creationists who work to prove it believe that whatever they discover MUST be compatible with the bible.

You cannot be a credible scientist when your religious beliefs dictate what you must conclude.

Thanks, that's cool. I still love all the new episodes of these shows... I love a fresh batch of adult animation, but like a good blowjob, it may not be as good as the first season but still fun to have. I think that analogy works.
